MOUNTAIN BIKE SKILLS (RBIKE)
Former professional mountain bike racer, Laurie Brandt, will teach a coed mountain bike skills clinic for adults or kids 14-18 accompanied by an adult. This is for the beginner to intermediate rider who wants to learn how to execute skills correctly and safely. We will cover balance drills, braking, cornering, climbing, descending, lifting front and rear wheels, bunny hop and wheelies, riding switchbacks, pedaling efficiency and picking a line. Bike must be in good working order and bring helmet, appropriate clothing for the weather, food and water.

BIKE MAINTENANCE (RBIKE)
Learn how to keep your bike in great working condition and how to fix the typical mechanical problems. Bring your own road or mountain bike and learn how to remove and re-attach wheels, fix flats, true a wheel, replace a chain, fix a dropped chain and much more. Participants should bring a bike, rags, tire levers, spare tube, patch kit, spoke wrench, Allen wrenches 4, 5, 6 mm and a small screwdriver. This class will be outdoors, so dress for the weather.

Middle School Mountain Bike Skills Clinic (RBIKE)
The Montrose High School Mountain Bike team and coaches are hosting a skills clinic for beginner to intermediate riders. Learn how to execute skills correctly and safely. Also learn about how to become part of the MHS Mountain Bike Team. Bike must be in good working order. Bring a helmet and water. A few loaner bikes will be available.

Safe Cycling (RBIKE)
Become empowered to ride your bicycle on the road with confidence and competence! This course combines indoor instruction and discussion, a bike handling practice session, and a guided ride around Montrose to experience and discuss the principles of vehicular cycling. Taught by an experienced and certified safe cycling instructor, you will learn guidelines for gear selection, tips for bicycle commuting, and how to more safely and confidently navigate the road.

Disc Golf
If you can throw a Frisbee you can play disc golf at the premier disc golf course on the western slope. Start play just west of the bridge at Baldridge Park. Disc golf can be played any time weather permits. Use your own discs or Frisbee to challenge yourself and friends to a lively game of disc golf.

- A limited number of Discs and scorecards are available for rental at the Montrose Community Recreation Center 16350 Woodgate Road.
Beginners Archery (RARCH)
Students will be instructed on the proper use and care of a compound bow. They will also learn the techniques of shooting a bow and get lots of time practicing on the range.

Parent/Child Archery (RARCH)
What’s more fun than having your child learn archery? You jumping in and learning alongside them. This class will be fun for both parent and child. Archery equipment will be provided.
