Amy is a dedicated professional in the aquatic and recreation field who moved to the Western Slope in May 2018 after more than 20 years in Southern California. Originally from Michigan, her life journey has taken her to several states including Washington and Georgia.

Amy has over 30 years of experience in the aquatics and recreation field, with a focus on facility operations and management. Her journey into aquatics began as a competitive swimmer, where she achieved state-level recognition in both Washington and Georgia. Through her involvement with swim teams, she discovered her enjoyment for lifeguarding and teaching swimming, which guided her back into aquatics as a fulfilling career.

Amy has also made significant contributions as an Instructor Trainer Educator and Aquatic Examiner with the American Red Cross. Her role has taken her across the nation, where she trains other instructors and supports aquatic facilities in enhancing their safety and lifeguarding operations. She remains actively involved with the American Red Cross in various capacities.

When Amy is not at the pool, she and her husband Kevin enjoy hiking and mountain biking, skiing or traveling to visit their kids and for fun adventures. Amy also enjoys performing in a local band and in various ensembles.
