Parks & Recreation Month

Celebrate Parks and Recreation Month with us!

We are excited to announce that we are participating in NRPA (National Recreation and Park Association) Park and Recreation Month through the month of July! Throughout the month, we invite you to join us in embracing the beauty and benefits of our local parks and recreational spaces.

What is Parks and Rec Month?

Parks and Rec Month is a nationwide initiative that highlights the importance of parks, green spaces, and recreational programs in fostering health, happiness, and environmental stewardship.

This year's theme — “Where You Belong” — celebrates the many ways park and recreation professionals across the country foster a sense of belonging in their community by providing welcoming and inclusive programs, essential services for all ages and abilities, and safe, accessible spaces to build meaningful connections.

Join Us for a Free Day!

The Montrose Recreation District invites the entire community for a Free Day at the Community Rec Center on July 11th, 12:30 - 8:00 pm. Bring your family and friends to enjoy all the CRC has to offer. From our swimming pools to our climbing wall, there's something for people of all ages and all abilities to enjoy.
