Patron Code of Conduct
To ensure the safe enjoyment of MRD services programs & facilities, all patrons must exercise respect and appropriate behavior. Those who do not may be asked to leave, may be suspended, and/or forfeit their pass without a refund. MRD staff and management reserve the right to update the policies and make exceptions when necessary.
- The enforcement of this code is at the discretion of MRD staff and ultimately the Executive Director who has final say in all suspensions and refunds.
- To help with monitoring and safety there are 46 security cameras in use at the Rec Center and 17 at the Field House.
- All guests must check in at the Customer Service Desk prior to entering the facility.
- Youth in the facility who are under age 10 must be supervised by someone age 16 or older.
- Patrons upstairs in the fitness, weight and fitzone areas must be 16 years of age or older. 14 & 15 year olds must pass a fitness safety test and get a fitness band before being allowed upstairs.
- The MRD is not responsible for lost or stolen articles. MRD recommends locking personal items in lockers while in the CRC. Personal locks may be put on lockers, but MUST be removed by the end of the day unless you have purchased a separate locker rental. Locks left for more than 24 hours will be cut off.
- Lost and found items will be donated to local charities if they are unclaimed after 7 days.
- Alcoholic beverages and/or illegal narcotics are not permitted in the facility at any time. Appropriate action will be taken for those persons suspected of alcohol or substance use while in the facility.
- MRD facilities are smoke and tobacco free including marijuana and vaping. Smoking of tobacco & vaping is only allowed in the parking lot at least 100 feet from the front entrance.
- All MRD facilities are weapon free including open carry and concealed carry firearms.
- Cell phone use is prohibited in locker rooms.
- Family cabanas are for adults and families only. Nobody under the age of 18 is allowed without an adult family member.
- Active Transportation Bicycles, skateboards and roller blades are not permitted inside the CRC, FH or FlexRec, although we encourage these forms of active transit to our facilities. Bike & skateboard racks are located at the front entrance and near the outside climbing boulders.
- Pets and animals are not allowed inside MRD facilities, except for certified service animals.
- All children in the pool areas under the age of seven must be accompanied by a person who is 16 YO+ and actively participating. For the safety of your children we require a 1:3 parent to child ratio for those under 8 in the pool areas.
